2019 CGIN Service Project
Emerald School of Excellence
The CGIN group comes together for a Service Project every two years which is usually some sort of hardscape design with an installation of around 500 square feet. The purpose of the Service Project is three-fold - to give back to the community where we work, to promote public awareness of CGIN, and to provide a hands-on learning experience for our members and their employees. For the year 2019 the Emerald School of Excellence was selected and received a small patio surrounded by a seat wall for gathering and outdoor learning.
The Emerald School of Excellence’s purpose is to provide a safe, sober, supportive, and individualized learning environment for students in recovery from substance use disorder through faith, fitness, and fellowship. They work to provide support and opportunities for the students to find passion and purpose while staying in long term recovery. The Emerald School of Excellence is located at 4012 Central Avenue in Charlotte. The following CGIN vendors and members made this project possible by donating materials, equipment, and labor. We are very proud of all of these CGIN companies!
