2023 CGIN Service Project
Hospitality House of Charlotte
|
The CGIN group comes together for a Service Project every two years which is usually some sort of hardscape design with an installation of around 500 square feet. The purpose of the Service Project is three-fold - to give back to the community where we work, to promote public awareness of CGIN, and to provide a hands-on learning experience for our members and their employees.
For the year 2023 the Hospitality House of Charlotte was selected and received a water feature with seating just outside of the main entrance for use by guests. The HHoC creates community for patients connecting to vital medical care. When families are experiencing a medical crisis, they provide more than just a temporary place to stay; they provide access to healthcare and a community of support. The HHoC is located at 1400 Scott Avenue in Charlotte, NC. The Water Feature was donated by Atlantic OASE and the lighting fixtures were donated by Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting. Both companies also conducted the training for our members during the installation process. We greatly appreciate their contributions to this project. The following member companies of CGIN contributed materials, equipment, food & drinks, and labor for this CGIN Service Project: Bartlett Tree Experts, Brokaw Lawn Company, Edwards, Church, Muse (ECM) Insurance, KC’s Lawn Service, Kirk Davis Nursery, Maggie’s Landscaping & Design, Piedmont Landscape Supplies, Ponders, Smith Turf & Irrigation, Terra Green Landscaping, and Turf Commander Landscape Design. Thank you all for contributing to this effort. |
